Researchers travelled all around the UK to talk to 73 people in their own homes. Interview 13: I was lying in bed and my partner had gone down to make a cup of tea, but when she came back up, she said I think you've had a stroke. She noticed that my left side of my face was drooping.
Interview 20: And they explained that they thought the stroke was as the result of a blood clot, because I’d got-, they thought it was caused by an unusual heartbeat.
Interview 15: No, the enemy is the way I put it. Yes I've looked up quite a lot of information about stroke, what causes it.
Interview 28: Well, take the tablet you're told to take and do as you’re told to do . That’s what I say is, you know, they wouldn’t be telling you if it wasn't worth telling you would they?
