Dr Abi McNiven
Abi McNiven is a Senior Qualitative Researcher in the Medical Sociology & Health Experiences Research Group, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford. Her research interests are focused on healthcare experiences and health services improvement, and she is the co-Principle Investigator for this study. Abi conducted all of the interviews, checked interview transcripts, wrote biographies, liaised with recruiting sites and participants, contributed to analysis, and edited the topic summaries for the site. She has previously produced eight sections for the HEXI website (on experiences of: acne, eczema, psoriasis and alopecia; pre-eclampsia; research nurses, midwives and allied health professionals; cohort studies; and urogynaecological conditions) and contributed to many other studies.
Dr Fauzia Knight
Is a senior qualitative researcher at the Health Experiences Research Group. She has researched and published in the areas of qualitative fieldwork, qualitative health and legal anthropology. She wrote 8 of the topic summaries for the site.
Dr Carol Dumelow
Is a qualitative researcher with over 20 years’ experience of conducting health-related research studies. She has worked on HEXI studies since 2001. She has a Ph.D. in Sociology (1998) from the University of Surrey. Carol wrote 3 of the topic summaries for the site and peer reviewed 4 of the others.
