Julie and Mark are married. They have four daughters between the ages of 15 and 25, and are white British.

Kath is retired but has previously worked as a butcher. She has one son who is 40. She is white English.

Kay works part-time as a Customer Service Assistant, and is white British. She is married and has three children, aged 12, 10, and 5. Her youngest child has polycystic kidney disease.

Linda is married with two daughters aged thirty-seven and thirty-five. She is now retired, but worked as a house matron in a boarding school. She is white English.

Lucy works as a schools liaison officer and is white Welsh.

Lucy Y is an interior designer. She is married and has one child who is 12 years old.

Lucy Z is a graphic designer. She lives with her partner and daughter who is 10 years old. She is white British.

Nick is married to Julie and they have one daughter. He works as a regional business manager. He is White English.

Nicola works as a university professor and is white English. She is married and has three adult children, one of whom died of cancer in 2012.
