Depression and recovery in Australia

Overview

In this section you can find out about the experience of depression and recovery by seeing and hearing people share their personal stories on film. Researchers travelled all around Australia to talk to 39 people in their own homes. Find out what people said about issues such as childhood, therapies, self-help and impact on work and family. We hope you find the information helpful and reassuring.

This section of the website was developed on behalf of beyondblue: the national depression initiative, a not-for-profit organisation in Australia, to promote the experiences of people who have lived with depression and/or anxiety, and aid those who may be experiencing similar problems.
