Interview 01

Lives on his own but he is supported by family and social services. Help organised a charity event for teenage cancer patient and their siblings in Xmas 1998. White British.

His brother died from Acute Lymphoblastic T-cell leukaemia at the age of 12. Age at brother's diagnosis: 14.

Interview 05

Student; mother is a teacher. Mother and son were interviewed together. He is single and lives at home.

Interview 09

Pharmacologist; single; no children; lives with his parents. After his treatment he went to do a pharmacy degree and wants to work in a Teenage Cancer unit.

Student and works for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Single; lives with parents

Works as a volunteer administration assistant. Single; lives at home with mother, father and older brother.

Interview 16

Single, no children; lives with parents worked as a welder before diagnosis. He now works in the same company but doing less heavy work.

Single; no children; works full time as a marketing officer. Volunteer for the Lymphoma Association helping other young people who are going through the experience of cancer.

Interview 23

He is single and lives with his mother and siblings. He is a third year law student and plans to go back to university after finishing his treatment.

He is single and lives with his parents; works full time as a sailing instructor; white British. He was doing his A levels when he fell ill.

Single, no children; lives at home with his mother; finished A levels and he is having a gap year. Says that he want to study medicine. White British.
