Dr Lisa Hinton

Lisa Hinton is a medical sociologist and did her DPhil on experiences of infertility. She joined the Medical Sociology and Health Experiences Research Group in 2006 and leads work on applied research for the group. Her research interests include women’s health - in particular infertility, complex pregnancy and childbirth – intensive care medicine and the use of the Internet as a resource for health information and support. She conducted the interviews and did the data analysis for this study.

This module was produced by Dr Lisa Hinton, an experienced qualitative researcher with expert input and guidance from Marian Knight (Professor of Maternal and Child Population Health) and Ms Anna-May Long (Clinical Research Fellow in Paediatric Surgery) from the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit at Oxford University, and Louise Locock (Associate Professor and Director of Applied Research, HERG, Oxford University)
